1. Choose a person whose story you want to record and set up a time to meet

2. Give your interviewee the “As I Remember It” book and use the “The Life Of” book for yourself.

3. Turn on the digital recorder and begin recording the conversation

4. Use the Table Of Topics to provoke memories, or simply ask questions and have a conversation.

5. Take notes in the “Notes” section of the book.

6. Mark major events on the timeline.

7. Cherish the memories forever.
